‘X-Files: Season 10 #5’ – Advance Comic Book Review

X-Files: Season 10 keeps the awesome train a rollin’ with the fifth and final installment of the “Believers” storyline. It’s all come down to this. What do the Acolytes have up their sleeves for Mulder and Scully? What is their grand plan? For the answer, you’re going to have to read the fifth issue for yourself. I will say that it’s a thrill ride from start to finish. Joe Harris continues to show why he is the perfect writer for the job. It has what every good X-Files episode has: mystery, suspense, humor, the paranormal, of course, and, most importantly, it always leaves you wanting more. Whenever I run across a fan of the show, I always make sure to mention Season 10. This is an absolute must-read for every X-Files fan, pure and simple. I’m very much looking forward to seeing where the series goes next! I’m hooked and can’t wait for another fix next issue!

The tag-team combo of Michael Walsh and Jordie Bellaire continues to make the artwork pop. Season 10 is one of the best-looking series out there, hands down. The fifth issue is intense. The fourth issue left us with its foot on the pedal, and the fifth keeps barreling forward. Harris keeps you on the edge of your seat, wanting to know what Deacon (Scully’s kidnapper) has been planning. It looks like Chris Carter and Joe Harris have a lot of great things in store for this series. The mother of the conspiracy theory genre has returned! With Season 10’s success, I hope it opens the door to the possibility of more X-Files in other mediums. There’s been talk of the possibility of a third movie, and I have to be honest, after reading Season 10, I’d love for them to have Harris write it. He’s proven that he’s got the characters down pat, and he definitely knows how to weave an intricate story. I can’t recommend this series enough. Go and pick up your copy of X-Files: Season 10 #5 when it’s released on October 16th!
