Join Fanboy Comics and LA’s Indie Creators at Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo 2014

The Fanboy Comics staff is very excited to be exhibiting at Stan Lee’s Comikaze Expo again this year, along with a host of other talented independent creators! Taking place from October 31-November 2, 2014, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Comikaze Expo is LA’s largest pop culture convention.

Fans in attendance will have a chance to stop by the Fanboy Comics table (Artist’s Alley #1351) to meet the creators of the graphic novels Penguins vs. Possums: Volume One, The Arcs, Something Animal, Identity Thief, and FBC’s upcoming title, Fearworms: Selected Poems! (Fanboy Comics’ creator signing schedule may be found below.) In addition, Fanboy Comics will be premiering issues of Penguins vs. Possums #5 for sale, continuing the epic saga between the two species as they careen towards Armageddon!  Attendees will also be able to purchase the official Fanboy Comics t-shirt, so that they can show their geek pride in style.

In addition, you will not want to miss the Indie Creators, Unite! A Guide to Self-Publishing panel taking place on Saturday, November 1st, at 9:30 a.m. in Room 306AB, where LA-based independent comic book creators will discuss their own experiences in self-publishing, providing sage advice for creators interested in doing the same. Moderated by Fanboy Comics Managing Editor Barbra Dillon, the panelists will include Gavin Hignight (Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Concrete World), Daniel Corey (Red City, Moriarty), Jody Houser (Cupcake POW!, Womanthology), Sebastian Kadlecik (Penguins vs. Possums), and Bryant Dillon (Fanboy Comics President, Identity Thief, Something Animal).

Attendees will also find a plethora of other independent comic book creators on the showroom floor!  Joshua Hauke (Tales of the Brothers Three) and David Scott Smith (www.spacebase8.com) will be at Artist’s Alley Table #1313 providing free sketches for attendees that purchase a copy of their books.  Anyone who stops by their table on Halloween will get a free build-your-own-monster mask. The creators of Man vs. Rock will be at Artist’s Alley Table #A266 with the third volume of the series making its grand premiere!  Each volume will be sold for $4, but the special deal will be that you can buy two volumes for $7 and all three for $10!  In addition, writer/artist David Flores will be at [Sic] Monkie Studios Table A264 with copies of Dead Future King.  Lastly, Joshua Henaman will be at Artist Alley Table #1252 with the complete Sword, Sorcery, and Sasquatch saga of Bigfoot – Sword of the Earthman, as well as a free “spoiler print” for those who purchase Issues #1-6. Henaman will also be a guest on the “Demons and Monsters – A Supernatural Horror Mash-up!” panel on October 31st at 6:00 p.m., exploring the trend of supernatural, paranormal, and horror projects in television, film, and comic books.
